El Susto

The documentary El Susto uncovers the powerful beverage industry’s outsized influence across Mexico, where sugary beverages are more accessible than clean drinking water and Type 2 Diabetes is a leading cause of death. This eye-opening film serves to show the influence of sugar-sweetened beverages on individual and community health across generations, and is a reminder of why sugar taxes are important to advocate for.
